Guys I have a theory. I think jigen is from the otsutsiki clan. The one Momoshiki was from. Think about it. Kojin said when he saw boruto's karma, "Oh, so you're the one Momoshiki chose". This implies that the karma can be transferred to others. In the next episodes we also see jigen transferring the karma into kids. Maybe Momoshiki was trying to kill boruto by putting the karma on him but failed because boruto was compatible. We know that Momoshiki was in contact with Kara because how else did kojin know him. Also in that one scene where Delta knocks the table over. Jigen instantly made a copy without using any hand signs that would indicate a jutsu. He also didn't have a change in his eyes implying that he uses a doujutsu.

Feel bad for Kawaki, but outside of kind of being insensitive to his past, everyone is acting pretty good around him. PTSD is serious and Kawaki is WAY stronger than me. I would likely kill myself if I was him. I struggle with a fraction of fraction of what he has from my military service. I'm glad Naruto's hug helped him out when was triggered.
